Why is the campaign only open to US and Canada backers?
We have worked hard with IELLO over the past couple of years to build a network of local publishing partners to bring Unmatched to as many different countries in as many different languages as possible and to align the US and non-US releases as closely as possible. We are continuing that relationship with Tales To Amaze.

How can I get this if I don't live in the US or Canada?
IELLO is working with our international publishing partners to bring Tales To Amaze to a wide range of countries and languages. They are already starting on localization and pre-production, and we expect most of those editions to be available before the end of the year.

Can I get the promo items outside the US and Canada?
IELLO and our international publishing partners will have a supply of these items and will have a system in place to distribute them along with the release of the game.

Can I play with heroes from other Unmatched sets?
Virutally all Unmatched heroes can be played “as is” as solo heroes or as part of a team of heroes in this set. Some heroes have cards whose effects do not work, as indicated in the Adventures Rules. A few heroes are not suitable to play against the villains due to the player interaction required, e.g., Black Panther from the upcoming Marvel - For King and Country set.

Can I play the game solo?
Yes, the game can be played solo. You can play by yourself, choosing to run one to four heroes.

Does the double-sided board have two different battlefields?
Yes, one side has the Point Pleasant battlefield for use with Mothman, and the other side has the McMinnville battlefield for use with the Martian Invader. Both battlefields use the “full-circle” style of spaces. You can use either battlefield for competitive play.

Are there plans to make Mothman and The Martian Invader as playable heroes?
We do not have plans to do that. If we had done that, it would have delayed the release of upcoming sets. We also know that our amazing fans are already working on creating decks for the two villains. (If you don’t know about unmatched.cards, check it out.)

When will the game be available in retail?
Barring any delays in logistics, we expect the retail street date to be in August. Because of the vagaries in shipping, it is possible that some backers will get their copies after some stores have gotten their copies. However, keep in mind that the promo items will not be available in regular retail copies.

Will the promo items be available for sale after the campaign?
We will have a limited number of promo items that we will make available on our website and at conventions while supplies last. The pack of 16 promo alien and doom miniatures will cost $15. The pack of 4 promo foil cards will cost $8.

Is there a retailer pledge level?
Because the game will be in distribution around the same time as the campaign is fulfilling, we are not offering a retailer pledge level. Retailers can order copies of the game from their preferred distributor as they do with other Unmatched sets.

Are there any stretch goals?
In order to minimize the time to fulfillment, we have already completed development of the game and started manufacturing. Therefore, we cannot do any traditional stretch goals. We are planning on giving away some freebies and doing some exciting reveals during the campaign for a bit of fun.

Are there any add-ons?
Not in the campaign. Add-ons will only be available in the Backerkit Pledge Manager. These include additional copies of the game, promo items, and other games from our catalog.

How much is shipping?
Shipping is FREE in the continental US. If you are in Alaska, Hawai’i, Puerto Rico, and Canada, you will be charged $10. This discounted shipping applies to any number of copies of the game you order. If you include other items from our back catalog as add-ons, you will be charged additional shipping ($10 for the Continental US, $20 for Alaska, Hawai’i, Puerto Rico, and Canada) regardless of how many other items you add.

Who are you using for fulfillment?
Since the campaign only includes one sku and is only open to US and Canada backers, we are using Publisher Services, Inc., our regular fulfillment and warehousing partner. This will reduce freight time and costs and allow us to offer our back catalog as add-ons to your order in the Backerkit Pledge Manager.

What is the refund policy?
Before shipping starts, you can cancel your order for a 75% refund, which reflects the amounts taken by the various service providers and the additional expense we will incur in shipping the items you ordered to our warehouse for alternate use. We cannot promise a refund after shipping starts but will consider on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us on Kickstarter if you originally pledged there. Backerkit can’t process refunds on the Kickstarter platform.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
